Japan – Meeting my Climbing Idol Yuji Hirayama

As a child, I was an avid climber and looked up to many professional climbers. One of my biggest idols was Yuji Hirayama, a renowned climber from Japan who was considered one of the best in the world at that time.

During one of my visits to Japan to see my father, who lives there, we decided to go to Yuji’s climbing gym. As soon as we arrived, I was overjoyed to see Yuji in person. I introduced myself and told him about my passion for climbing and photography. To my surprise, he agreed to go climbing with me and even allowed me to take some photos of him.

I was thrilled at the opportunity to climb with Yuji and learn from him. We spent hours climbing together, and he even gave me some tips and tricks to improve my technique. As we climbed, I couldn’t believe that I was actually hanging out with my idol.

After our climb, we sat down and talked about our experiences in climbing. Yuji shared his journey as a professional climber and the challenges he faced along the way. He also told me about his love for nature and how climbing allowed him to explore and appreciate the world around him.

Meeting Yuji Hirayama was an incredible experience that I will never forget. He not only inspired me as a climber but also as a person who is passionate about what he does. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to climb with him and learn from his expertise.
